Our home tuition program in Sicily combines: private Italian lessons, full language immersion, authentic Italian family life. More than a language course, it is a real-life experience where you practice Italian naturally every day while enjoying sicilian culture, food and lifestyle.
Where is the home tuition program located?
The program takes place in the countryside near Taormina, in the beautiful Alcantara Valley, one of the most authentic and scenic areas of Sicily.
Alessandro, his wife Katarina, and their son Jurko welcome students into their home surrounded by the peaceful Sicilian countryside. In the large garden, they grow tomatoes, aubergines, courgettes and peppers, while the orchard is filled with peach, orange, pear, cherry, fig and lemon trees. Katarina lovingly turns the seasonal fruit into delicious homemade jams, and the olive trees provide extra virgin olive oil that you will enjoy during your stay.
The family also produces a small quantity of homemade Syrah wine from their own vines, affectionately called “Syrah cchi Syrah” – a playful expression based on the local dialect meaning “what will be, will be”.
Here, learning Italian becomes part of everyday life: breakfast in the garden, conversations over dinner, the scent of citrus trees, a glass of wine at sunset, and private lessons surrounded by the quiet beauty of Sicily.
